Burger of the Week: Butter Burger (I subbed a Housemade Black Bean patty), with a Pipeworks Santa Vs. Unicorn
Not long ago I heard about The Pint Room in Littleton (2620 West Belleview Avenue), a restaurant and beer bar with 175 beers on tap. I’m not sure why I didn’t know about it until recently, as it opened in 2015, making it The Pint Room’s third location: the original in Dublin, Ohio with a second in Carmel, Indiana. But even though I’m apparently behind the times, I couldn’t be happier that I am finally aware of this wonderful place!

The Pint Room has an extraordinary 175 beers on tap, which are updated regularly via Taphunter and can be viewed on their website. I like being able to see a live beer list, as I can get some ideas about what I’m interested in before even setting foot in a bar/restaurant. It’s helpful to both me and the person taking my order, as it can take a while to look over the full list, especially with that many options!

While not quite as extensive as the tap list, the food menu is also robust: several appetizers, salads and numerous sandwiches, including 15 burger creations, one of which rotates on a weekly basis. The Pint Room also makes its own black bean veggie burger in-house and offers it as a substitution on any of its burgers at no additional charge.
Side of Mac & Cheese
I dropped by for lunch last weekend and was more than ready to sample several items from the menu. I started with the beer battered cheese curds with Sriracha ranch, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I then wanted a burger, so I decided to try the Burger of the Week: the Butter Burger with Dijon Mayo, Caramelized Shallots, Compound Butter, and White Cheddar, with a black bean burger patty, with fries. I thought it sounded interesting, and it lived up to my expectations. It was delicious, and I was glad to try something new. And if that wasn’t enough already, I couldn’t resist ordering a side of Mac & Cheese, as it’s one of my favorite dishes. It was definitely tasty, and they get bonus points for the breadcrumb topping. Next time I might have to get two sides of it and call it a meal.
I was very impressed with the tap list. There were so many things I wanted to try. I first went with a Ballast Point Peppermint Victory At Sea, a beer I’ve had before and loved but can’t often find on tap. After that I got a few tasters of beers I hadn’t yet tried: New Belgium’s Tartastic, a Lemon Ginger Sour Ale. This one isn’t overly sour; it’s a good tart beer for those just getting into sours, and it seems like an especially perfect session beer for Spring and Summer. I also had Wicked Weed’s Bourbon Barrel Aged French Toast Stout: brewed with vanilla, zesty cinnamon, and sweet maple syrup and aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels. This is quite possibly the best barrel-aged beer I’ve had in a while. Or so I thought, until I tried Perrin Brewing’s No Rules: a Vietnamese Imperial Porter brewed with coconut, cinnamon & turbinado sugar aged in bourbon barrels. Not every establishment is going to have beers like these on tap. And these are just a few of the many rotating specialty beers you’ll find at The Pint Room. I simply cannot say enough great things about the beer selection here!
Tables near the fireplace will keep you warm and toasty
The Pint Room has excellent seating options for both warm and cold weather. The patio is fantastic for nice days; it was a bit too cool during my visit to sit outside, but I look forward to soaking up some rays on the patio in the coming months. They also have a fireplace; ask for a table nearby on those chilly days!
My first visit to The Pint Room Littleton couldn’t have been better. I had a very enjoyable meal, several incredible beers, and great service, and I look forward to stopping in again soon!
