Delicious Easter Brunch Options, with Cocktails!

Weekends are the best: sleeping in and enjoying a leisurely brunch with bottomless mimosas. This coming Easter Sunday, several area restaurants have lined up some extra special meals and deals. Here’s the scoop:

Specials at neighborhood pub Argyll Whisky Beer (1035 E 17th Ave – include a fresh, seasonal asparagus salad from Executive Chef John Broening. This tangy spring version features the flavors of chorizo, capers, and a Meyer lemon vinaigrette to add spark and brightness to the earthy asparagus. Chef’s hearty Shepherd’s Pie, bursting with lamb, dark porter and a cheddar mash, will also be a feature of the Easter brunch menu. Looking for something even more British? Tuck into the Rabbit Roulade, with braised pancetta and a spiced carrot puree. Bottomless Mimosas, including an Easter special Grapefruit Mimosa, round out a fun, casual Uptown brunch.

The seafood, oyster and wine experts at Humboldt Farm, Fish & Wine (1700 Humboldt Street – are rolling out an Easter Prix Fixe menu all day, so brunchers can stop in early and enjoy the quiet before the crowds or stop in later and catch some rays on the sunny, tree-lined patio. Choose from mainstays such as Executive Chef DJ Nagle’s Classic Clam Chowder, Humboldt’s Crispy Broccoli, or the Calamari with pickled pepper-tomato sauce, tempura lemon, shishito and aioli. Feeling traditional? Tuck into Chef’s take on Easter favorites Pan Roasted Airline Chicken, Scottish Salmon with chive garlic fingerlings, spinach and buerre blanc, or the always-impressive Carved Prime Rib with sour cream horseradish mash and spring vegetables. Brunch Fresh Sheet specials will be available, and wash it all down with a classic Mimosa or the fresh and spring-like Bellini with housemade peach puree for a quintessential Denver brunch.

In a city consistently ranked as one of the healthiest in America, a favorite brunch destination is the Ballpark neighborhood’s ViewHouse (2015 Market Street –, where the Sunday Fun Day activities draw crowds from all over for a day of eating, drinking and outdoor fun. Why should the kids have all the fun? Grab your friends and stop in for an adult easter egg hunt, where prizes include vouchers, gift cards, and swag. Enjoy the upscale casual food from the talented ViewHouse kitchen – Executive Chef Jose Guerrero will be offering specials in addition to the regular brunch menu, including his version of a honey baked ham served with a fresh and snappy green bean casserole, crispy roasted fingerling potatoes and a spiced arugula salad. Wash it down with the Hopped Up cocktail, with the spring-inspired flavors of pear, raspberry, cider and St. Germain, topped with fresh lime and garnished with fresh raspberry.

If you’re down south, be sure to stop in to the Centennial location of ViewHouse (7101 S. Clinton Street, Centennial – for an Easter buffet brunch spread showcasing the talents of the kitchen staff and featuring seafood towers, fresh-pressed juices and a custom omelet station. Specials for Easter include holiday favorites carved spiral ham and tender leg of lamb. Mimosas are included with the buffet for $36.95, and kiddos can meet and take pictures with Thumper the Easter Bunny outside on the expansive, view-laden Green.


This Easter hop on over to Cherry Cricket (2641 E 2nd Ave – where one can indulge with the Bene Burger, an Easter-brunch inspired burger topped with American cheese, egg any style, ham, and hollandaise. The Bottomless Easter brunch at Zengo (1610 Little Raven Street, Riverfront Park, Denver will temp tastebuds, along with their Build Your Own Bloody Bar (Maria or Mary) with over 30 fixings to make it to your liking. $35 per guest includes unlimited small plates and free flowing brunch cocktails, and each guest will receive an Easter Egg surprise upon departure. Stop by Session Kitchen (1518 S. Pearl St. – for Easter brunch between 10 am and 3 pm on April 5th. Brunch service favorites include the Session Breakfast Burrito with chorizo, eggs, hash browns, pickled avocado, while cheddar, house adobo or pork green chili wrapped in a house made tortilla, Lox and Tots with a crispy shredded potato cake, boursin cheese creamed spinach dill and pickled red onion and the gluten-free Fried Chicken & Waffles with buckwheat almond waffles, fried chicken, apple butter, curried chicken salad and red pepper syrup. On the beverage side, Session Kitchen is now offering a create-your-own mimosa with a selection of 3 bubbles (Spanish, French, and Italian) and includes a choice of three juices: orange, grapefruit, cranberry, and two rotating tasty surprise flavors. Blackbelly Market (1606 Conestoga #3, Boulder – is jumping into Sunday brunch with an Easter spread that will include favorites from Hosea Rosenberg’s farm-to-table local, sustainable and organic menu. For their first ever brunch service, Blackbelly has chosen a combination of variations on favorites and all-new dishes.  Farm fresh eggs are the star in a brunch version of Chef Hosea’s Hatch green chile posole and eggs, brimming with the smoky flavors of his roasted green chiles and in-house smoked pork shoulder.  Other soon-to-be-brunch-favorites at the East Boulder neighborhood hotspot include challah french toast, golden and crackling with fluffy goodness, a croque madame served with traditional house meats and farm-fresh egg, and creamy, flavorful polenta with eggs and savory ratatouille.  Wash your feast down with a brunch cocktail from the talented bar staff, and if the weather’s right you might even be able to enjoy it outside on one of Blackbelly’s two outdoor patios.
