Not only do I enjoy drinking beer, I also really love to cook with it. I recently got a copy of a wonderful new cookbook, The Craft Beer Cookbook: From IPAs and Bocks to Pilsners and Porters, 100 Artisanal Recipes for Cooking with Beer, by Jacqueline Dodd.
This is definitely a must-have for anyone who likes cooking with beer. It is filled with tasty dishes for breakfast, dinner, dessert, and then some. And, as its title says, the recipes use all different types of beer: IPAs, porters, pale ales, red ales, stouts, wheats, and more.
There are recipes for any time of the year as well as somewhat seasonal ones too. Now that fall is here and winter is on its way, here are some that are tempting to try:
